Kessler 6 Mental Health Scale (K6)
The Kessler 6 Mental Health Scale (K6) (Kessler et. al., 2003) is a measure of non-specific psychological distress.
The K6 is a tool used for screening mental health issues in a general adult population.
The scale was designed to be sensitive around the threshold for the clinically significant range of the distribution of non-specific distress in an effort to maximize the ability to discriminate cases of serious mental illness from the rest.
